State Nomination Visas open in NSW and South Australia

Immigration South Australia is open to accept state nomination applications under General Skilled Migration (GSM) for subclass 491 and subclass 190. Interesting candidates are now able to apply for Immigration South Australia provided they meet the eligibility criteria. Like South Australia, another Australian state- New South Wales is also accepting applications of overseas skilled workers under the Subclass 190 visa to apply for state nomination.

What is Skilled Nominated Visa Subclass 190?

Australia Skilled Nominated Visa Subclass 190 allows skilled workers to live and work in New South Wales if their occupation is in demand and they meet the eligibility criteria. Here are a few points which need to be met by skilled workers for NSW state consideration:

  1. The NSW Government invites skilled workers whose occupation falls in the NSW Priority Occupation List.
  2. Subclass 190 is a point-based visa allows skilled workers to live and work in NSW permanently.
  3. The skilled workers who receive nomination by NSW get 5 additional points toward their overall points score.

What is Skilled Work Regional Visa Subclass 491?

Australia Skilled Work Regional Visa Subclass 491 allows skilled workers who have a nomination from state/territory government or sponsorship from relatives living in regional areas of Australia. It is a five-year provisional visa and after residing for three years on this visa program, skilled workers can apply for permanent residency in Australia.
