Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP)

The Alberta Provincial Nominee Program or Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) was set up with other Canadian states’ provincial nominee programs. The Alberta PNP program launched in the year 2018 is one of the most famous provincial nominee programs of the country. The processing of applications and selection of this program is like other PNPs because it is dependent on the Federal Express Entry System for the nomination of eligible candidates for immigration. Earlier this program was found to be complicated and time-consuming, but now some changes have taken place to improve the program.

The benefits of the new changes occurred in the Alberta PNP 2018 are below:

  1. The application process will become simple by making a new stream for probable immigrants called Alberta Opportunity Stream.
  2. It will be given preference that the workers having professional, personal, and communities attachments to the province will be considered first for the Canada Permanent Residency that leads to the Canadian citizenship.
  3. The program welcomes all skills and professions in the province by being more flexible for trade skills.

From 14th of June 2018, the Alberta Canada immigration will take applications under the two streams given below:

  1. Alberta Opportunity Stream (new)
  2. Self-Employed Farmer Stream

To be kept in Mind: If an applicant sent their application on 14th of June and applied to the Strategic Recruitment or Employer-Driven Streams, their application will still be under process. They must have some consultation with an experienced immigration expert about this.

If a candidate has already applied to the Alberta PNP under the Strategic Recruitment or Employer-Driven Stream, their application is postmarked on the date (14th of June) or before it.

  1. Their application will be evaluated under the eligibility requirements that ware at the time when the application was got.
  2. The Candidate doesn’t need to apply to the AINP if their application is under process.
  3. The candidate can request to the immigration authority that their previous application is withdrawn. All this has to be in writing and must be sent by registered mail or courier and the authority of the AINP must confirm that their application has been withdrawn before the submission of new application.

Alberta Opportunity Stream:

The Alberta’s Opportunity Stream has replaced the Strategic Recruitment and Employer-Driven Streams. These two streams are now terminated. And, under the Alberta Opportunity Stream, a candidate applies on their own without any employer support. Through the AINP, the immigration officials may carry out the nomination and intake guidelines that will make maximum number accepted and nominations are received each year.
