Ontario Issued New Invitations to Express Entry Applicants

Ontario declared new invitations to the express entry candidates to obtain provincial nomination for permanent residency. The 2018 highest was recorded on October 19 which is 439 invitations through Skilled Trades Stream. This draw has marked highest number of invitations which brought 1,445 Notifications of Interest (NOIs) issued.

The Skilled Trades Stream under the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) enables to find the candidates in the federal Express Entry pool who are currently living and working in Ontario. The candidate must have a minimum of full-time one year work experience or equivalent experience as part time worker in a  skilled trade listed in Minor Group 633 or Major Group 72, 73, or 82 of Canada’s National Occupational Classification (NOC).

Candidates must match the eligibility requirements for the Canadian Experience Class which is regulated by the Express Entry system.

They must have proficiency in English or French with minimum Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 5 and there is no limitations for CRS score for this stream. Express Entry. The aspirants who obtain provincial nomination from Ontario are granted an additional 600 points toward their CRS score and move to the front of the line for an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence.

Candidates while creating their Express Entry profile should represent their intention to live in either Ontario as it was encouraged by the OINP. It was seen that candidates issued invitations applied to January 1, 2018, and October 19, 2018 created their Express Entry profile Skilled Trades Stream.

French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream invitation issued

Another 39 invitations has been issued by the OINP through its French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream.

The continuous invitation round organized on October 18 and October 11 witnessed issuance of 33 invitations through the stream. OINP uses draw to choose candidates from the Express Entry pool for Canadian Experience Class and Federal Skilled Worker Class candidates with CLB 7 in French and CLB 6 in English.

There is no minimum CRS score eligibility and should have a profile in the Express Entry system for the French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream and the Skilled Trades Stream.
