New Invitations issued to Express Entry Candidates by Prince Edward Island

The Atlantic province under the Prince Edward Island issues 118 invitations to all three PEI immigration categories in the latest expression of interest draw. Of these 118 invitations 111 were selected by Prince Edward Island (PEI)’s Express Entry and Labour Impact categories and rest 7 went to Business Impact candidates. There were no further information is available for more classification i.e. number of invitations went to Express Entry nor the information about candidates who were invited like weather they are already working in PEI. Candidates who do not have a job offer in the province of Prince Edward Island, their Expression of Interest from Express Entry are welcomed but the candidates who are working and living in the province are given the first preference. Points are allocated to candidates on various immigration categories under PEI according to the PEI point’s grid which are linked to Expression of Interest based immigration system. Points are allocated based on the answers submitted by the candidates during EOI profile creation and have entered into respective categories pool. As per the report of PEI Immigration, the Business Impact Category had a minimum threshold of 145 in the draw of August 16th. There was no minimum score set for Labour Impact and Express Entry categories. To initiate the process of immigrating to PEI immigration is to submit an EOI profile. This application is just to express interest for being considered by PEI’s office of immigration. Then the highest scoring are invited to submit the application through the PEI’s office of immigration. Candidates, who are registered in Canada’s federal Express Entry pool, receive the additional 600 points who are the recipient of PEI nomination.
