The Nova Scotia Government conducted its second draw of this month on September 20, 2019 through its Labour Market Priorities Stream and invited eligible carpenters having a profile in the Federal Express Entry pool to apply for a provincial nomination for permanent residence visa in Canada. In this Draw, Self-employed carpenters were eligible too and had to submit certification from third-parties mentioning about the service given and payment details. Selected candidates need to provide ‘Letters of Reference’ from employers to show that they have skilled trade experience of working as a carpenter. Candidates who got selected have a CLB score 5 or higher in English/French in all four language abilities: reading, writing, speaking and listening.
Also, candidates have to show sufficient funds to establish themselves in the province along with their families and to look for other expenses – Immigration costs and travel expenses. The Labour Market Priorities Stream was introduced in August 2018 and has invited financial auditors and Accountants, applicants through Early Childhood education profile, and French-speaking Express Entry applicants so far.Learn more : Calculate your points on CRS Calculator to check the eligibility
Carpenters who got invitation in September 20 draw have 30 days to apply for a provincial nomination for Canada permanent residence visa. Candidates with a provincial nomination get additional 600 CRS points in their total CRS score, escalating their chances to receive invitation to apply for Canadian permanent residence.
