Latest Manitoba EOI draw opened on February 13, 2020

Manitoba province has conducted its first Expression of Interest draw under Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) of February month and issued a total of 242 invitations to immigration candidates to apply for a provincial nomination for permanent residence on February 13, 2020. This is the second draw of Manitoba province in two weeks.

The total 242 invitations are given to candidates in the three provincial streams of Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program, where, 182 invitations are given to candidates under Skilled Workers in Manitoba Stream, 27 under Skilled Worker Overseas Stream and remaining 33 invitations are sent to candidates under the International Education Stream.  Among all the 242 invitatioons, 15 invitations are sent to Express Entry candidates.

What is Canada Express Entry System?

Canada Express Entry System happens to be the top pathway for immigrants to obtain permanent residence status in Canada. Under the Federal Express Entry System, all the applications of three major eocnomic immigration programs – the Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program and Canada Experience Class are managed.  Applying in one of these Immigration programs, a candidate is given a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score that is evaluated on factors such as age, work experience, education and Language proficiency. And, the highest scoring candidates get invitations to apply for PR visa through subsequent Express Entry Draws.

15 Express Entry candidates who receive invitation to apply from Manitoba will get an additional 600 CRS points towards their overall score and these additional points guarantee their chances to receive an invitaion in the next Express Entry Draw.  To be considered for a Manitoba provincial nomination, a candidate must have eligible work experience in In-demand occupations along with other requirements. Also, have to submit Expression of Interest to the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program.

Candidates who are looking for a Manitoba provincial nomination under the Skilled Workers in Manitoba nd Skilled Worker Overseas streams need to submit expression of interest (EOI) with the MPNP. In this Latest Manitoba Draw, the lowest score for Skilled Workers in Manitoba was 525 and for Skilled Workers Overseas it was 611.
