Latest Canada Express Entry Draw invited 3,600 candidates for Permanent Residence

Canada’s Express Entry System has issued 3,600 invitations to skilled workers with CRS score of 459 and above in the latest draw held on July 24, 2019. This is the second consecutive draw of July month, which has issued invitations to 3,600 candidates to apply for permanent residence in Canada.

The increase of 250 ITAs is observed in all the 10 Express Entry draws which were held between January 30 and June 26 with a limit of 3,350 ITAs each.  The Federal Express Entry system of Canada is the main source to attract immigrants who can meet the labor market requirements and be an asset to the economy of the nation.  It manages candidates profile under three main economic-class Immigration programs – the Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class, and Canadian Experience Class.

Once the profile of a candidate is lodged in the pool, they are provided with a score under Comprehensive Ranking system that consists of factors such as age, education, skilled work experience, and English/French Language ability. The ones with highest scores receive an invitation to apply (ITA) through regular draws from express entry pool for Canada permanent residence.

An Express Entry –linked PNPs are active from a few weeks; EE candidates who get provincial nomination are rewarded with additional 600 points in their CRS score and get in the line for an ITA. These 600 points add value to candidates with lowest scores who have to make the cut-off in Federal Express Entry system.  Many Express Entry-linked PNPs don’t pay attention to an applicant’s CRS score that is less than the cut-off of Federal Draws.

From a few weeks, provinces like Ontario, Manitoba, Prince Edward Island and British Columbia who have Express entry linked with their PNPs are inviting applicants to apply for provincial nomination. Ontario issued 1,623 invitations to EE candidates having work experience in six tech-related occupations through its Human capital Priorities Stream in its First Tech draw with CRS score between 439 and 459. Till now IRCC has issued 49,000 ITAs in 2019.
