Canada’s new Two-year Pilot Program For Lifespan Sponsorship Ban candidates

A two-year pilot program has been introduced by the Canadian Government enabling sponsorship applications for specific family members who would be banned from attaining permanent residence visa under Canada’s Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations. The program will be in effect from September 9, 2019, to September 9, 2021.   This Pilot program belongs to those non-accompanying family members who were not evaluated and even, were not acknowledged when overseas national applied for Canada PR that resulted in a long life ban from sponsoring the family members. Learn more : Know details about Canada Permanent Residency Process These regulations require that foreign nationals applying for a permanent residence declare all their family members (spouse, common-law partner, dependent children, and dependent child of a dependent child) and have them examined by an immigration official even if they are not accompanying the principal applicant to Canada.   This program would help the majority of the population affected by the ban if they meet the below-given conditions: a) Any overseas nation who have applied as a spouse or a common-law partner in the Spouse or Common-law Partner in Canada class or as a spouse, common-law partner or dependent child under the Family Class.   Learn more : How to apply for Canada Express Entry System to get PR Visa?    b) Overseas national has a sponsor: 1) Who was granted Permanent residence status as a reunion refugee or a person in similar circumstances or 2) Got permanent residence because of getting the status of a protected person 3) Who was verified to be a member of the Spouse or Common-law Partner in Canada Class 4) Who got PR as a sponsored spouse, common-law partner or determined to be a Family Class Member.   Learn more : Calculate your points for PR on CRS Points Calculator    This Pilot program is not applicable if the sponsor got permanent residence under Canada’s Economic Class or any other immigration category.
