Canada’s express entry system is the main source of overseas skilled workers. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria enter the Express Entry Pool and are given a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) based on factors like age, education, skilled worker experience, and English/French proficiency, among other factors. Candidates don’t require a job offer to enter the Express Entry pool. Candidates with high-ranking scores receive invitation to apply (ITA) to apply for Canada permanent residence during standard draws that take place from the pool. Candidates who wish to enter the Express Entry pool must meet the eligibility requirements for one of the three major-economic immigration categories - the Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class, and Canadian Experience Class.
Manitoba province also issued invitations to 15 express entry candidates to apply for a provincial nomination in its latest draw held September 25. Alberta province conducted two draws last month – September 18 and issues invitation to express entry candidates with CRS 352 and above and on September 11, candidates with CRS as low as 302 were invited.
