Alberta released the details of its latest draw that took place on November 6, 2019, where 148 invitations were issued to the candidates under the Alberta’s Express Entry aligned stream with CRS as low as 400 to apply for a provincial nomination for Canada permanent residence.
Canada’s Federal Express Entry System operates the pool of candidates for Canada’s three main economic-immigration categories: the Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class, and the Canada Experience Class.

Express Entry candidates who get a provincial nomination from the Alberta province get an additional 600 CRS points that increase the chances of candidates to get invitation to apply (ITA) from the Canada Government. Candidates who are interested in a provincial nomination from Alberta must have a profile in the Federal Express Entry System.

As per AINP, candidates who have ties to Alberta, or who are keen to support the province economically are eligible to submit their application for a provincial nomination. Though there is no requirement of a job offer in Alberta, it could escalate the chances to get invited.
Candidates who have an Alberta Job offer/ work experience, OR, are graduated from a Canadian post-secondary institution, OR, have relatives living in Alberta such as a parent, child, or sibling, are likely to consider by the AINP for invitations.
