136th Canada Express Entry Draw , 3,500 invitations

The Canada Government held Express Entry Draw on February 5, 2020, and issued 3,500 invitations to express entry applicants applying for Canada permanent residence. This Latest draw had a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 472, which is one point more compared to the previous draw held the previous month.

What is Canada Express Entry System?

Canada Express Entry System operates the pool of candidates applying for Canada PR under the three major economic Immigration categories such as the Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class, and Canada Experience Class. Interesting candidates who apply under this program are ranked in the pool and provided with a CRS score based on Selection factors such as age, education, skilled work experience, and English/French proficiency.

Candidates applying under the EE program don’t require a job offer to be eligible for receiving invitation to apply (ITA), though it might help them in gaining additional CRS points if they have a valid job offer. Every fortnight the Canada Government conducts draws from the pool and high-scoring candidates are invited to apply for Canada PR. With February 5 invitations, the total ITAs number has raised to 10,300 this year.

PNP Streams are aligned with Express Entry System

Canada’s Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) which is also operated by the Express Entry System has its target of 67,800 for 2020 and 71,300 in 2021. Canadian Provinces have their own PNP streams which are linked to the Express Entry System, most of these streams demand low or even no CRS score requirement and issue invitation to apply for a provincial nomination for Canada Permanent Residence.
