Canada Express Entry System operates the three main economic class immigration programs – Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program, and Canada Experience Class. The eligible candidates for an Express Entry-managed program get a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score based on factors such as age, work experience, education, and English Language proficiency. And, the highest-scoring candidates then get invitation to apply for permanent residence in subsequent Express Entry draws.

Selected Express Entry candidates receive a provincial nomination and get an additional 600 points towards their CRS score, increasing their chances of Invitation to Apply (ITA). To be considered for Manitoba provincial nomination, Express Entry candidates need to have eligible work experience in one of Manitoba’s In-demand occupations, among other requirements and have to submit a separate Expression of Interest to the MPNP.
