Saskatchewan invites Occupation-in Demand and Express Entry candidates

The province of Saskatchewan invites 926 applications for permanent residency occupations in demand and express entry candidates in the largest Expression of Interest Draw held on 1st of November 2018.

Combination of invitations are the most issued yet through Saskatchewan EOI system introduced in July to manage the candidates coming under the Express Entry and Occupation in demand.

The draw included a record high invitation of 671 candidates under the Occupation in demand under which the lowest rank had the points as low as 61. This is actually the highest number of invitations and lowest score accepted under the Occupation in demand in the sub category since the time it has moved to EOI system.

There were total of 255 candidates that were invited for Express Entry system and the lowest ranked candidate invited had a score of 60. This is the lowest score selected in the four EOI draws held upto date.  This category is linked to Express Entry system which manages the pool of candidates under the three main sub-categories that are Federal Skilled Trades Class, Federal Skilled Worker Class and the Canadian Experience Class.

Candidates under the Express Entry stream ought to score minimum of 60 points on points grid of Saskatchewan province and must also possess experience in job list under the in-demand occupation list. Job offer is not necessary to immigrate to Saskatchewan.

Candidates in the Express Entry who receive an invitation from Saskatchewan attain an extra 600 points under the CRS Score which determines the candidate’s position in the Express Entry pool.
