The Prince Edward Island province has issued invitations recently to eligible candidates to apply for the provincial nomination in its Express, Entry, Labour Impact and Business Impact categories. 116 invitations were issued to the Express Entry and Labour Impact Category candidates, and the Business Impact Category candidates received 8 invitations.
The minimum score for the Labour Impact and Express Entry invitations were not given by the PEI’s Office of Immigration, but 152 was the minimum score for the Business Impact Category.
An Express Entry candidate wishing to benefit from the PEI Express Entry Category has to make a profile in the Expression of Interest system of the province. A profile is evaluated carefully, and points are given as per the six following selection factors that are language, age, work experience, adaptability, and employment.
The invited Express Entry candidates get 90 days from the invitation date to submit their application to the province’s Office of Immigration.
Those who get nominations by Prince Edward Island get more 600 CRS points. It makes much easier for them to get an Invitation to Apply for the Canada permanent residence (PR) visa.
The PEI’s Labour Impact Category is for a skilled and experienced person required to be in the PEI’s labour market. This category is further split into the three streams that are Skilled Workers, International Graduates, and Critical Workers.
