The investor immigrant program of Quebec is now open to all the new applicants which will accept a total of 1,900 applications for this current year until 15 March 2019. The Quebec Investor Immigrant Program is the pathway to Canada permanent residency through passive investment. With effect to this new program, now immigrants required to invest in Quebec for a period of 5 years.
The eligibility criteria for Investor Immigrant program had been revised on August 2 so applicants are it’s better to check before applying. Previously, the net asset worth requirement was CAD$ 1.6 million and investment amount was CAD$ 800,000. However, this limit has been extended and now applicants are needed to bring $1.2 million as investment and net asset worth should be CAD$2 million. The Quebec government undertakes the guarantee of the investment amount and the investment agreement should only be with help of financial intermediary qualified to participate in the QIIP. The investment made will be returned by the Quebec Government after the completion of five years.
