New Manitoba Draw invites Skilled Workers and International Graduates

A total of 196 candidates got an invitation from the Manitoba province in a recent Expression of Interest draw held on May 23 to apply for a provincial nomination for Canada permanent residence. 119 invitations were offered to the candidates who applied under the Skilled Workers in Manitoba Stream; around 60 invitations went to Skilled Workers Overseas candidates and 17 invitations to the International Education Stream to International graduates of Manitoba post-secondary institutions.

Combining all the invitations together so far in 2019, a total of 4,320 invitations have been issued to skilled worker candidates. With the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP), the province nominates immigration candidates with required skills, which is required by employers and those who are interested to settle in and can easily establish themselves efficiently.  MPNP is also known as the most popular and successful PNP plan and has played an immense role in improving the economic growth of the province by allowing 130,000 newcomers to settle in.

Invitation to Express Entry candidates

As per the recent draw, 27 LAAs have been issued to the Express Entry candidates with a job seeker validation code and who have relevant experience in the occupation available on Manitoba’s In-Demand Occupation List.

Canada’s Federal Express Entry System looks after the pool of the candidates for the sub-categories such as the Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class, and Canadian Experience Class, which are known as Canada’s main economic immigration programs. EE candidates who receive a provincial nomination gets an additional 600 points in their overall Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) Score.

Manitoba’s Skilled Workers Stream is apparently open to qualified temporary foreign workers and International student graduates who are presently working in Manitoba and are offered with a permanent, full-time job with their Manitoba employer. On the other hand, the Skilled Workers Overseas Stream enables the MPNP to nominate immigration applicants who have a strong connection to Manitoba such as previous education, family members living there, work experience in the province under any occupation or have received an invitation in one of the MPNP’s Strategic Recruitment Initiatives.  In this draw, all 60 skilled worker overseas candidates were invited through a Strategic Recruitment Initiative.

For the skilled workers looking for a provincial nomination from Manitoba need to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI).  Candidates need to provide their personal information and are given a score on the factors like education, work experience, English/French proficiency and connections to Manitoba, etc. The candidates with the highest scores are invited through draws which occur regularly from Manitoba’s EOI pool.  The minimum score required for an LAA for Skilled Workers in Manitoba is 548 and for Skilled Worker Overseas is 506.  For availing more information, feel free to call on official helpline +91-7042184185 or drop down your queries at info@makevisas.com.
