Latest Updates on Australian Skilled Regional visa Subclass 491 and Subclass 494

The Immigration Department of Australia has released updates about the soon to be released new Australian Skilled Regional visas Subclass 491 and Subclass 494 in 2019. The complete details including the release dates and transitional arrangements about both the visas are discussed in this recent update.

Australia Four-year provisional visa subclass 489 will be issuing invitations to apply (ITA) till September 10, 2019, and the last date to apply for this visa program would be November 15, 2019, following the invites. Also, the applicants have the duration toll November 15, to lodge nominations under Subclass 187 RSMS.  All the RSMS nominations not finalized till November 16 will automatically be withdrawn from the list. Only those nomination applications would be taken into consideration whose visa applications already have been submitted.

By the moment, no changes have been made in the Australia subclass 186 visa and the Australian Immigration Department will soon release postcodes list helping candidates in finding out whether their area comes under regional migration.

The Skilled Work Regional Visa Subclass 491 is going to accept an expression of interest of interesting applicants from November 16, 2019.  This visa program will swap with the existing popular Regional visa subclass 489.

On the other side, with Skilled Employer-Sponsored Regional Provisional Visa Subclass 494, businesses in Australia can nominate employees from November 16 beyond. And, the nomination applications must have Labour Market testing proof along with it. Applicants with age less than 45 years and positive skill assessment can apply for Subclass 494.

Candidates looking for permanent residency need to live for at least three years under the new subclass 491 and 494 visa to be eligible for Subclass 191 which is a permanent residency visa provided they have to showcase a proof of earning minimum taxable income in the mentioned three years.
