Latest Canada Express Entry Draw 12 August 2019

A total of 3,600 invitations were issued to candidates and above in the recent Express Entry Draw held August 12, 2019, to apply for permanent residence. The cut-off of this Express Entry Draw is 466 which is seven points more than the previous CRS score of the Express Entry Draw took place on July 24.

Canada Express Entry System is the main source to attract skilled workers who can contribute to the economy of Canada. Candidates are given with a score based on the factors – age, qualification, work experience, English/French Language proficiency, among other factors that play an important role in the Comprehensive Ranking System. Candidates with highest-score receive invitation to apply (ITA) to apply for Canada permanent residence through regular draws that take place in Express Entry Pool.

Candidates who want to apply for Express Entry have to meet the eligibility criteria under one of the three main-economic categories of Canada – the Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class, and Canadian Experience Class.

Candidates who have plans to immigrate to Canada as a permanent resident can apply both for Express Entry System and Provincial Nominee Program, which is also moderately supervised by Express Entry System.

Provinces like Ontario, Alberta, and Saskatchewan have Express Entry-linked nomination streams and have been active in recent weeks. Ontario issued 1,773 invitations under its Human Capital Priorities Stream to Express Entry candidates with work experience in six tech occupations and with CRS as low as 435. On the other hand, Saskatchewan province issued 104 invitations through its Express Entry sub-category to candidates having working experience in one of the occupations that are presently in demand in the province, among other criteria.  Alberta under its Alberta Express Entry stream has invited Express Entry candidates with CRS score as low as 300 four times in 2019.
