Invitations Issued to Francophone Express Entry Candidates by Ontario

The Ontario Provincial Nominee Program (OINP) has issued invitation to Express Entry candidates for provincial nomination. Around 1,006 invitations have been issued by the government of Canada through French Speaking Worker Stream. These invitations are valid for 29 draws under French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream since the start of this year (2018).

Those candidates who are invited for the OINP have submitted their Express Entry profiles between January, and August for the year 2018. The French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream was formulated by the government in the year 2015 to pinpoint the French population who have successfully applied either for the Federal Skilled Worker Class or the Canadian Experience Class and have proficiency level in English by scoring CLB 6 or higher.

The target of this stream is to accelerate the growth of francophone community of Ontario which has a population more than 622,000 people and operating as the biggest French-speaking minority in Canada. Apart from all this, there are some eligibility criteria for OINP that are required to accomplished for the submitting Express entry profile.

Moreover there are three federal economic immigration programs under Canada immigration — the Federal Skilled Worker Class, the Federal Skilled Trades Class and the Canadian Experience Class. If the candidates are sponsored by the Ontario there will be an addition of 600 points to their CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) score.
