Express Entry established various records of invitations in 3rd quarter

The months of July, August, and September, witnessed highest frequency of invitations which is 22,800 in third quarter for Canada permanent residence.

Express Entry is liable to manage and regulate the candidate’s profile by means of three federal economic immigration programs i.e. the Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class and the Canadian Experience Class.

Candidates are granted score depending on their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) and are ranked among other candidates present in Express Entry pool. Through regular draw, an Invitation to Apply (ITA) will be issued who qualify the eligibility criteria for Canadian permanent residence.

In the third quarter of 2018, a total of 22,800 ITA’s were issued by the express entry introduction in the month of June which have set-up a record of 7,500 ITAs issuance by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). The trend persisted in July too which circled Express Entry July 2017 high of 3,202 ITAs.

The month of August has created record of 9,290 ITAs which is high as compared to previous months ITAs. This record was maintained in the month of September when 7,500 Express Entry candidates were invited to apply for Canadian PR which involved issuance of 3,900 ITAs on 5^th September.

The IRCC bolstered and continued the trend of larger draw sizes for all the programs in July and August 2018. The trend was established in the year 2017, when 2,750 ITAs in of the two Express Entry draws held in December and also the draw held in January 2018. Consequently, this trend accentuated progressively till 5^th September 2018 reaching 3,900 ITAs

September became the month who promoted the trend but due to some circumstances the draw size shrunk from 3,900 to 3,500 on September 19. Although this fluctuation was compensated by rare program in which IRCC issued 400 ITAs to candidates of Federal Skilled Trades Class.

The year 2018 saw the minimum CRS score in all the seven class draws organized in third quarter. The CRS score shifted from 445 to 440.

Express Entry candidates who receive an provincial nomination will be granted extra 600 points towards their score CRS score through which they can improve their ranking. Express Entry-linked PNP remain active during third quarter and new and streams were also introduced in Nova Scotia and Alberta.

All are waiting for the Express entry performance for the year 2018 as till now is 62,500 where ITA issued for July, August and September were the highest. Contrasting with the year 2017 that saw issue of 69,420 invitations by the same point and completed by setting up a record of 86,023 ITAs.

The  Multi-Year Immigration Levels Plan regulated by the Government of Canada has a mission of to reach 74,900 new admissions for 2018 and 81,400 for 2019 through the Federal Skilled Worker Class, the Federal Skilled Trades Class and the Canadian Experience Class.

It was declared by the IRCC that if the year 2018 maintained the path of organizing larger draws will exceed the record of 2017.
