Express Entry Candidates Gets Invitations From Ontario Human Capital Priorities Stream

Human Capital Stream of Ontario issues 185 invitations to the Express Entry Candidates in the draw held on 26th November 2018. The total invitations counts for this year are 3719 under this stream.

Human Capital Priorities Stream helps the Ontario province to select the required candidates, who meet the provincial and federal criteria, from the Express Entry Pool.

If the candidates from Express Entry get an invitation from Ontario Province, then they are allocated with 600 points under the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), which helps the candidate’s application push forward drastically and almost guarantees the Invitation to Apply (ITA). The CRS score determines the rank of the candidate in the express entry pool.

Express Entry system classifies the pool of candidates under three streams according to their skill set. The streams are - Federal Skilled Trades Class, Canadian Experience Class and Federal Skilled Class.

Candidates who were selected for Ontario in the recent draw held on 26th of November scored in the range of 350 to 448 and a job offer from the Ontario province, which is not required in case of Human Capital Priorities Stream. Under this stream, those candidates are taken into consideration which had submitted their profiles in the Express Entry systems from 1st January 2018 to 22nd November 2018.

In the month of September the Ontario PNP has replaced the requirement of Express Entry candidates with score of minimum 400 in the CRS score for Human Capital Priorities Streams. In future Ontario PNP would set the minimum score with the discretion of program’s direction.

The Provincial Program of Ontario relies heavily on the express entry linked streams. Under these streams Human Capital Priorities Stream alone contributed to about 3719 invitations in 2018 which was followed by French Speaking skilled Worker Stream and Skilled Trades Stream with 1519 and 1626 scores respectively. If we put together all three streams, it contributed to about 95% of Ontario nomination allocation.

Applications that are filed in response to invitations received in the draw would be considered for the OINP 2019 nomination allocation.

French Speaking Skilled Workers And Skilled Trades Also Issues New Invitations

Ontario PNP has also issued new invitations to two of the other streams linked to Express Entry - French Speaking Skilled Worker and Skilled Trades.

The draws for Skilled Trades took place on 26th November 2018 which saw a total of 181 invitations and for the French Speaking Skilled Worker draw took place on 22nd November which issues 43 invitations. The latter was found to be very active in this year which was issuing invitations in almost every week. The stream is specially for those French Speaking candidates who have strong English communication skills (with CLB 6 score) and who want to live and work in Ontario province.

Skilled Trades stream allows PNP Program of Ontario to search the candidates from express entry pool currently living in the province with one year of full time experience or equivalent part time experience, in the skilled trades listed in Minor Group 633 or Major Group 72, 73 or 82 of Canada’s NOC. The candidates should also meet the eligibility criteria under the Canadian Experience Class.

Other eligibility requirements for skilled trades include language proficiency (English/French) with minimum score of CLB 5.

A point to be noted at this stage is there no minimum CRS score required for either of the streams i.e. French Speaking Skilled Worker or Skilled Trades Stream.
