Canadian Immigration held its Largest Express Entry draw of 2018

As per the Express Entry draw held on 5th September 2018, it issues 3900 invitations for the Canadian Permanent Residency (PR). This is fourth draw on trot in 2018 which has a score of 440, the lowest Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of the year.

But this time draw broke the regular norm of issuing 3750 Invitations to Apply (ITA) that was constituted by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) on 13th June. Throughout this year till now IRCC issues the number of ITAs and raised its numbers to 250 to 500. The size of the draw began with the figure of 2750 ITAs in starting of 2018 and has now reached to size of 3900 ITAs. Lowered CRS score can be on the cards taking inconsideration larger draw sizes and regularity of draws.

In the year of 2018, IRCC has issued 58600 Invitations to Apply (ITA), as compared to 57751 Invitations to Apply (ITA) in 2017 for the first 18 draws. But this year IRCC is still 5177 ITAs  behind the previous year achievement at same point of time i.e. 63777. Total 86023 ITAs were issues in 2017.

The Canadian Express Entry has three subclasses under which it classifies the candidate’s profile. These classifications are: - Federal Skilled Trade Class, Canadian Experience Class and finally the Federal Skilled Worker Class. Ranking of the candidates are dependent on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score and the highest ranked candidates are being considered for the Invitation to Apply (ITA) by the regular invitation rounds.
