The Canada Government released its first express entry draw of December month on December 11, 2019, and issued 3,200 invitations to skilled workers with CRS 472 to apply for Canada permanent residence. In this invitation round, skilled workers with a Comprehensive Ranking System 472 were invited. The Canada Government holds regular draws from the express entry pool and candidates with high scores are being invited to apply for permanent residence. These draws take place every two weeks and invitations are given to skilled workers from all the three express entry-managed categories.

The CRS score is given to a candidate based on factors such as age, education, qualification, work experience, English/French language, etc. There is no requirement of Job Offer to be eligible to receive invitations in Express Entry Draw; though having a job adds extra points in the candidate’s CRS score. The Express Entry System operates the pool of candidates for the three main economic immigration categories – the Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class, and Canada Experience Class.
A total of 82,000 invitations are being issued by IRCC in 2019 which is approximately 7,700 ITAs less than the total ITAs of the year 2018, which were 89,800.

Under Canada’s multi-year Immigration level plan, there will be a rise in the target of intake of permanent residents through three Express Entry-managed Immigration program from 81, 400 to 85,800 coming year. The intake of Immigrants from Canada Provincial Nominee program is going to increase from 61, 000 to 67,800 in the coming year, where a portion of it will be managed by the Express Entry System.

Canada has nine provinces and two territories which has its PNP streams that are linked to the Express Entry System. Express Entry Candidates who get a provincial nomination receive 600 points in their CRS score which increases their chances to get ITA.
