Canada is offering ITAs for Parents and Grandparents program

The Canadian Government has begun to provide invitations to apply (ITAs) for its Parents and Grandparents program. The first invitations were held on 24th April and it would take a few days to circulate invitations to all the potential sponsors, quoted by IRCC.

Canada’s Parents and Grandparents Program permit the citizens and permanent residents above the age of 18 years to sponsor their parents or grandparents for Canada Permanent Residency. IRCC also said that

It is also mentioned that invitations will be directly sent to the email address used by the applicant on the Interest to Sponsor form.  In Fact, IRCC also added that chances are there that some invitations could end up in the Junk email folder, so sponsors should make sure to go through the email folder attentively.

Sponsors who receive ITA from IRCC will be provided with the span of 60 days starting from their date of invitation to lodge a complete sponsor application to follow the modus operandi. The target for the year 2019 for Parents and Grandparent Program is 20,000 applications.  If required, IRCC can carry out other invitation rounds to meet its target.

Interested sponsors who be given ITA need to submit two complete applications- one for, to become a PGP sponsor and the other one is from their parents and Grandparents for Canada Permanent Residency. Both the applications should be filed at the same time, said IRCC. Applicants should also ensure that they are using the latest forms.
