Two new streams for immigration expected in 2018, one of them is aligned with Express Entry Alberta has declared that Provincial Nominee program allotment for this year is 5,600 nominations. There is a striking rise in the number of 100 nominations in comparison to the last year’s Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program allotment of 5,500. It was an expectation that this province will receive some more allotment this year. It is because of the federal government’s multi-year immigration plan that was declared on 1, Novemberlast year. This federal plan has a Provincial Nominee Program target of 55,000 for this year, up 8% comparing to the target of last year which was 51,000. New streams expected this year This time, Alberta Immigration Nominee Program is in the following three immigration streams: Employer-Driven Stream, Self-Employed Farmer Stream, and Strategic Recruitment Stream. In the year 2018, the Employer-Driven Stream and the Strategic Recruitment Stream to be formed into one stream, the Alberta Opportunity Stream. It is also expected that Alberta province can introduce a second stream aligned with the federal Express Entry pool this year, but these stream criteria are remaining to be made public. The AINP will be allowed by the Alberta Express Entry Stream to nominate limited candidates in Express Entry pool, including the candidates from the three economic immigration classes of the federal government: the Federal Skilled Trades Class, the Federal Skilled Worker Class, the Canadian Experience Class, and Federal Skilled Trades Class.
