The work experience category in the Quebec points calculator under the Quebec skilled worker program (QSWP) helps the candidate in scoring a maximum of 8 points. This category helps to determine if the candidate has any eligible work experience under the selected category for the Quebec skilled worker program. It also states that the candidate is required to have eligible work experience five years prior to applying for the skilled worker program.

Eligible job experience includes both paid as well as unpaid employment, but if the candidate has any unpaid work experience or internship it will only be counted if the employment experience has been gained with a training program or under an educational program.

Important Notes:

  1. The work experience must have been acquired within the period of 5 years before the date of application for Quebec Program.
