Quebec Occupation List

Quebec Occupation List constitutes of the occupations that have high demand in the province. The Skilled workers with high qualification, great skills, and relevant work experience are eligible to apply if their occupation is available in this Quebec Skilled Worker List.  The Quebec Government introduced the new Area of Training List  to make the Quebec Selection Certificate (QSC) process easier for International Skilled Workers. Also, the government is ready to invite 40,000 new permanent residents in coming years.

Immigration process of Quebec is quite different from other provinces of Canada as Quebec has only one stream that invites skilled workers who match the standard of the province and can help in improving the economy of the province.  The only way or stream through which an immigrant can move to Quebec is through the Quebec Skilled Worker Program (QSWP). Quebec Skilled Worker Program is run by the Quebec government and Federal Government of Canada allowing talented and trained International foreigners who can contribute to the province to move to the province as a skilled worker.Go through the Quebec Immigration High Demand Occupation List to check whether your occupation is available in the list.

Quebec Permanent Residency Process

The Quebec PR process consists of two steps:

a) First, candidates who are applying for Quebec permanent residency have to get the Quebec Selection Certificate (CSQ). This certificate signifies that the candidate has met the eligibility criteria and requirements of the Quebec Skilled Worker Program (QSWP) and the province has nominated this candidate to settle permanently in the province.

b) Once a candidate gets the CSQ certificate, they can apply for PR visa to the Immigration, Refugees & Citizenship Canada (IRCC). Candidates are required to lodge their application along with CSQ certificate.
