candidates who get selected under the Quebec Skilled Worker Program are given a Quebec Selection Certificate or Certificat de sélection du Québec (CSQ), which eventually leads to Canadian Permanent Residency Visa.

Candidates for Quebec Skilled Worker Program are assessed through a unique system which is based upon several selection factors. These factors are not the same used for Federal Skilled Worker Program from CIC. The Candidates must complete the medical and criminal record checks prior their application to CIC for Canadian Permanent Residency Visa (Canada PR Visa).

In order to qualify the applicant must score required points under the Quebec Immigration selection system.

  • At least 50 points – for the single (unmarried) applicant.
  • At least 59 points – for the applicant with a spouse or common-law partner.

Processing Times for the Quebec Skilled Worker Program vary from one Canadian Immigration Visa Office to another. Quebec Skilled Worker Processing Time (federal stage only): 13 months
