This particular category is constructed for engineers, designers and drafters having work experience in Alberta. The candidates must be working in any occupation which is being designated for this category.
Applicants who acquired a graduation degree from an authorized post-secondary academic institution of Alberta and also are working in an eligible occupation of Alberta under Post-Graduation Work Permit can apply under this category.

Employer-Driven Stream is constructed for employers who wish to select and nominate skilled workers under Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program for Immigration to Canada. By using this method, visa applicants can have the satisfaction of acquiring a desired job profile after they achieve Canadian permanent residency and for employers, it would be easier to maintain the skill gaps they are facing. It further contains three categories:
This category is designed for applicants having a permanent, full-time employment offer under an eligible skilled occupation. It is not mandatory for applicants to have a prior working experience in Alberta.
This category is designed for applicants who hold a graduation degree from a renowned post-secondary academic institution in Canada with an authorized Post-Graduation Work Permit, and have acquired a permanent, full-time employment offer from an employer of Alberta.
This category is designed for temporary international workers who have acquired a permanent, full-time employment offer from an employer of Alberta in a semi-skilled occupation.

Self-Employed Farmer Stream permits applicants having experience in farming and required funds to buy and manage an Alberta farm through which he/she can also apply for Canadian permanent residency. Candidates must be farm owners or operators who wish to reside in Alberta and purchase and develop their business of farming.
