Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program is known as the Alberta Provincial Nominee Program (AINP). It is constructed for candidates who have the relevant skills and experience required by the Province, and for which, an applicant, on selection by the provincial government, will be given the Alberta Provincial Nomination Certificate, to speed the immigration process.

The streams under Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) are as follows:

  • Strategic Recruitment Stream
  • Employer-Driven Stream
  • Self-Employed Farmer Stream

Strategic Recruitment Stream

This stream helps the applicant apply on their own, in case they do not have any employer. Under one of the categories given below:

Compulsory and Optional Trades Category

Anyone who is a temporary foreign worker and has a valid certificate in a compulsory or optional trade in Alberta qualifies to apply under this category.

Engineering Occupations Category

Anyone who is a temporary foreign worker and has Alberta work experience in an eligible engineering occupation qualifies to apply under this category.

Post Graduate Worker Category

Anyone who has a Post-Graduation work permit, are currently working in Alberta and have graduated from a recognized post-secondary institution in Alberta qualifies to apply under this category.

Employer-Driven Stream

Employer-Driven Stream is made for employers who wish to select and nominate skilled workers under Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program for Immigration to Canada. With this the visa applicants have the privilege of obtaining a desired job profile after they achieve a Canadian permanent residency permit and for employers, making it easier to fill the skill gaps. It contains three categories:

Skilled Worker Category

Anyone who has been offered a permanent full-time job from any of Alberta’s employer in an eligible skilled occupation qualifies under this category.

International Graduate Category

Any recent graduate from a recognized post-secondary institution in Canada, having a post graduate work permit and who has been offered a permanent and full-time job by any employer in Alberta in an eligible occupation is eligible to apply under this category.

Semi-Skilled Worker Category

Anyone who has been offered a permanent and full-time job by any employer in Alberta in an eligible semi-skilled occupation, and is a temporary foreign worker qualifies to apply under this category.
